RALEIGH, NC (WNCN) – The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for eight counties in the Triangle.
The announcement was made at 12:40 p.m. and until 10 p.m.
A few gusts are possible, with damaging winds up to 70 mph, according to the National Weather Service. The following areas are under a hurricane watch:
Cumberland County
Johnston County
Nash County
Wayne County
Wilson County
Edgecombe County
Halifax County
Sampson County
